Mirror, mirror on the wall… should I leave the house at all?

Never would the wicked stepmother of Snow White have imagined such times! If this gadget was in use during Snow White’s time, she would have never succumbed to the poison of the green apple… and for that matter, would have never met her ‘Prince Charming’. But that’s a different story!
The M30P Magic Mirror is a mirror alright, but more importantly, a home security system very adequately managed by ‘Basil’, an English butler and includes a mirrored 30 inch LCD display. The messages in the voice of ‘Basil’ are pre-recorded audio/video files and have been stored in the device’s hardware along with its normal processing and control functions.
The prices start at $ 22,000 depending on the accessories that you buy along with it, since this gadget uses motion sensors, cameras that will installed at security-sensitive areas of your residence and has the ability to switch between functioning as a normal mirror to Basil’s real-time comments for your safety.
If you so require a visual of a particular area in your home, you can as you have the options of installing cameras with this device. After all, Henry Kissinger said: Even a paranoid has enemies.
So, if you ask me, this ‘mirror’ merely acts as a conduit of verbal and visual information for you to act upon i.e. open the door if Basil informs you that some is in your driveway or get a gun out if it’s a stranger.
And if you don’t like the character ‘Basil’, the company can change the character for an additional fee as well.
On a personal note, I think this system is awesome, combining a ‘polite’ interface through a friendly face and state-of-the-art technology, which can save your life with its timeliness or just make your life that much easier without having to press too many buttons.
