Between love and madness, lies obsession… the punchline of the new ‘Secret Obsession’ advertisement as narrated by Eva Mendes, its latest brand ambassador.
If you’ve watched the movie ‘Ghostrider’ starring Nicolas Cage, you wouldn’t have any difficulty in identifying the sultry siren, who, was recently in the news with her modeling assignment for Calvin Klein’s much raved about advertisement for their new perfume ‘Secret Fragrance’, in which she appeared to toss and turn in bed, ever so gently.
Apparently, this was her dream when she was a teenager, despite the furor that her nudity has caused in the press so much so that the advertisement has been banned from television.
Voicing her thoughts on the reaction of the media in one of the leading fashion magazines, she has said that she understands that the advertisement does have an intimate quality to it but it should not be made such a big deal of, while Calvin Klein is working on releasing a ‘softer’ version of the ad.
Eva also said that at 34, she feels more comfortable in her skin and feels more beautiful than ever. Ironically, to validate that fact, she also mentions that she loves walking around the house naked, so much so that when her friends come over… they tell her to “get dressed” as they’re bringing company over.
In Hollywood, her latest movie, a comedy aptly names ‘The Women’ is out in theaters now.
