If you know who Candace Bushnell is, you would have definitely watched the series called ‘Sex and the city’ which is based on the story of four female friends and their experiences in romance, sex and its trappings while living in New York City. What the series also looked at closely, are socially relevant topics such as promiscuity, sexually transmitted diseases, safe sex and the changing role of women in society.

In the show, these four women expressed their sexual desires and fantasies rather frankly and shared each other’s pain and joys in life.

After six seasons spanning through the years 1998 to 2004, the series came to an end. Four years later, they released a movie which was aptly titled, Sex and the city: The Movie.

The story revolves around the harried and rushed Carrie, who decides to tie the knot with Big. As it so happens, in these life-changing moments, the pressure builds up… things begin to blow out of proportion and the pressure builds on Big, while seeing the lavish expenditure for the wedding.

In addition, Miranda gives Big something to think about; when she says that marriage ruins everything.

Hmm, women… you can’t do without them, you can’t even kill them. But that’s what makes them so beautiful, at least in my opinion.

What happens next is what you will find out if you rent the movie. Prepare yourself for a set of twists and turns, joys and sorrows and a dreamy ending.

And they lived happily ever after… who knows… for Life itself is unpredictable.
